De Villiers explained in detail:
“We were playing in the World Cup 2015 and India had won us in Melbourne. We were in the post-match presentation and I asked him how long can he go? How long can he do this?”
MS Dhoni’s wit has won him many accolades over the years. One such incident took place with AB de Villiers.
De Villiers asked him how long Dhoni would keep on playing. Captain Cool responded,”I am enjoying every minute of it.”
The message was clear, he would continue to play while he still had it in him.
Two years on, Dhoni is no longer the skipper but still a valuable member of the side. He is one of the fittest cricketers in the world at the moment and the signs are good that he will stay till the 2019 World Cup.
