Defense Minister Jaitley gave a call on China’s threat-1962 and today’s situation is different
Defense Minister Arun Jaitley has given the Chinese response to the border dispute between India and China. Jaitley said in the program of ‘Aajtak’ that Bhutan has made a statement that China is constructing the road, Bhutan has land and there is a security relationship between Bhutan and India. That’s why our troops are there. On reminding China of 1962, Jaitley said that the circumstances of 1962 were different, and today’s circumstances are different. We have to understand this.
On Friday, Bhutan accused the Chinese of constructing a road in their border area and directly violating the agreement between the two countries. Bhutan said with a strong statement that it was also said to stop the construction of a road suitable for movement of vehicles from Dokola in Dokalm area of the campus of Bhutanani Army located in Joplari district of China. Bhutan says that this affects the process of setting boundaries between the two countries.
Bhutan’s remarks have come between the ongoing tensions between the Indian and Chinese soldiers in Dokalm area of Sikkim sector. Bhutan said that it has issued a mirror to China on road construction and has been asked to restore status quo by stopping immediate construction work from China.
