On Wednesday, the App Based Taxi Service Uber Technology has launched its UberEATS food delivery service in Delhi-NCR. Uber has planned to launch its food delivery service in six Indian cities this year.
According to Uber, the service has started for Gurgaon and will be rolled out in the rest of the NCR soon. In Gurgaon alone, Uber has tied up with around 300 restaurants. Uber first started the service on May 2 in Mumbai, after which Gurgaon is the second city where Uber has started the food delivery service.

Uber has entrusted the responsibility of stepping into the food delivery service sector and forwarding it to Faiz Abdullah. Faiz has worked at housing.com as a General Manager in Delhi-NCR. Abdullah has also managed two food business earlier, including a quick service restaurant Chen Kaboom and another ice cream brand.

Uber had stepped up in the online food delivery sector in 2014. The service was first launched in December 2015 in Canada and Toronto. At present, Uber is providing this facility in 97 countries of 97 countries.
